Welcome to Ian Beech Images

Now based in Crediton near Exeter, Devon, Ian Beech has been a freelance photographer since June 2001, working for a very wide range of clients, many of whom are still in the Taunton and Bridgwater area of Somerset, where he lived for over 20 years.

From 2001 until 2009 he freelanced for the Bridgwater Mercury and its sister newspapers in Somerset, contributing photographs for news, advertising and sports sections of the papers.

Subsequently freelancing for the Bridgwater & Burnham Times (2009-2011), Ian’s work also appeared regularly in the Sunday Independent for over a decade.

Through his newspaper work, Ian has built up a large portfolio of photographs, covering a wide variety of events, and his images have appeared in newspapers across the region, throughout the UK, including The Sun, and occasionally overseas.

Ian has also supplied images to leading entertainment and media news website Digital Spy, HTV, ITV Local West and ABC News Intercontinental for transmission in the USA.

In January 2006, he won a merit award in the Photojournalism category of the British Institute of Professional Photographers South West Regional Image Competition.
